David Smith Australia is passionate about ensuring that you are completely satisfied with your men's clothing purchase. We understand that there may be rare occasions where shoppers are not completely satisfied, and it is important for us to hear your feedback. Sold Out Items - Online
If an item you have ordered is out of stock, you will have the option of exchanging it for a similar item (where applicable) or simply have it refunded. No additional postage charges apply. We attempt to locate your item from our Burleigh Heads. Gold Coast store, within reason and if it is available.

Our Returns Policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
In Store Purchase Returns Policy
David Smith Australia does not offer refunds for change of mind; however exchanges can be provided within 30 days of original purchase date granted the garment meets the below conditions:
- Proof of purchase provided
- Tags attached
- Garment in original condition, including unworn and unwashed
Please make sure that swimwear is tried on over your own underwear. In the interests of hygiene, we may refuse returns of items where it's obvious that this hasn't been done.
Online Store Returns Policy
David Smith Australia is passionate about ensuring that you are completely satisfied with your men's clothing purchase. If you change your mind about an item purchased on davidsmithaustralia.com.au, you are entitled to a refund within 30 days of receipt should it meet the below requirements:
- Proof of purchase provided
- Tags attached
- Garment in original condition, including unworn and unwashed
Please make sure that men's swimwear or underwear is tried on over your own underwear. In the interests of hygiene, we may refuse returns of items where it's obvious that this hasn't been done.
Please contact customer service at customerservice@davidsmithaustralia.com.au firstly to organise return. Pack all items you wish to return in a satchel, or reuse the original packaging if suitable, and secure the postage label to the outside of the package. Remember to remove any old postage labels if reusing the original packaging. Address and send package to:

PLEASE NOTE: David Smith Australia will not be held responsible for lost packages. All returns and exchanges must be delivered back to us using a traceable service with a tracking number. Please note that the return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Refunds
You can choose to receive your refund either as e-credit-voucher to use at a later date or back to the original payment method. This will not include your initial delivery cost or the customs fee you initially paid, as both are non-refundable.
Please note that refunds can take up to 7 working days to show on your account due to varying processing times between payment providers.
Returns, Refunds and Exchanges – International
David Smith Australia does not accept responsibility of customer sent return packages; so, it is advised that when returning item/s that meet the above required criteria, customers should select a service that provides tracking.
PLEASE NOTE: Duty, tax and/or delivery costs incurred on a returned order is at the customers’ expense and cannot be refunded unless the returned item/s are deemed faulty by a david smith australia representative.
The process of returns is the same as for domestic returns.
Change of Mind
If you have changed your mind about your purchase, David Smith Australia will be pleased to offer you an exchange provided that:
- The garment is in original condition and is unwashed, unworn, unused and has not been altered or personalized and all tags remain attached to the garment
- Presentation of the original invoice or receipt within 30 days of purchase
- It is the customer's responsibility to try all garments on before removing tags, as we cannot accept any returned products without the tags attached to the garment. Returns that are damaged or soiled may not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer and/or exchange/refund refused.
- Please make sure that swimwear or underwear is tried on or over your own underwear. In the interests of hygiene we may refuse return of items where it is obvious that this hasn’t been done.
Exchanges of online purchases may be made in person at our David Smith Australia menswear store in Burleigh Heads (with exceptions) or by post (See online returns below). Please note that the return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Faulty Items
As a consumer, you are entitled to the benefit of statutory consumer guarantees in respect of items purchased from David Smith Australia at any of our stores. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, if the item has a major failure, you may seek a refund or exchange.
Sales Items
All sale or clearance items are final. We do not offer exchanges or refunds. Please choose carefully and ensure that you have chosen the right size before purchasing.
Colour variations
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on our website. However, as computer monitors vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will be completely accurate.
